Analysis of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Based on Bloom Taxonomy in Comprehensive Examination Questions

The study aims to examine the distribution of questions in Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) category on comprehensive examination Biblical Major at IAKN Manado Theology Study Program, with indicator for based revised Bloom's Taxonomy. A descriptive method a qualitative approach was applied. Data which sourced from Program Manado, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman, including data condensation, display, verification, conclusion. Analysis according Taxonomy Anderson & Krathwohl (2001). results indicated that majors were taken 15 courses total 100 questions. Of questions, it found 9 contained HOTS 6 classified MOTS LOTS categories. Specifically, percentages each cognitive level as follows, C6 1%, C5 16%, C4 23%, C3 38%, C2 8% C1 14%. Thus, HOTs achieved 40%, reached while got 22%. It concluded dominated although they not evenly distributed all subjects tested. this can be used reference preparation exam subjects, so test administrator team or educators determine quality question made. Furthermore, administrators will also able map categories HOTS, MOTS, LOTS, therefore improved affects increase students' higher-order thinking skills (HOTS).
